DEPSCoR

As a National Science Foundation EPSCoR jurisdiction, New Hampshire is eligible to participate in the US Department of Defense EPSCoR-like program called DEPSCoR.

The 2009 DEPSCoR opportunity (W911NF-09-R-003) has been published and is available online at www.grants.gov. DEPSCoR’s long-term objective is to build research infrastructure by funding multi-year awards for research science and engineering in areas important to national security. Universities with degree-granting programs in science, mathematics or engineering may submit a MAXIMUM of three proposals. Full proposals must be submitted electronically via Grants.gov by 4 p.m. on May 4, 2009. Proposals must request a minimum of $300,000 and must not exceed $2 million. Awards are expected to range from $300,000 to $600,000 in total costs. A minimum of one-to-two non-federal cost sharing or matching funds is required.

Research areas of interest are posted online at:
U.S. Army Research Office: www.aro.army.mil (select For the Researcher, followed by Funding Opportunities)
Office of Naval Research: www.onr.navy.mil/02/baa
Air Force Office of Scientific Research: www.afosr.af.mil (select Research (AFOSR-BAA-2009-1) on homepage)

Each academic institution may submit three proposals. Please review the BAA for details.
